Common questions

How do I join a Crew?

Ask a member for the Crew's invite link and open it on your phone, then tap Join crew. A Crew has up to 12 members.

How do I check in?

When a Session starts, open it and tap I’m Here. Check-ins are self-reported; Showup doesn't use your location.

I'm not getting reminders.

Make sure notifications for Showup are allowed in your phone's settings and check your quiet hours in Settings. Reminders are best effort and not guaranteed, so don't rely on them as an alarm.

How do I remove a Session Photo?

Open the photo and tap Remove photo. Crew owners can also remove photos in their Crew.

What are Consequences?

An optional, friendly nudge a Crew can turn on for a Plan. If someone misses a Session, members can propose a small Consequence; it only counts once another member confirms it. Consequences must never involve money or anything unsafe, and the Plan's creator or the Crew owner can waive one. See the Terms for the rules.

How do I leave a Crew?

Open the Crew's settings and tap Leave crew. If you own it, ownership passes to the longest-standing member.

Safety

You can block anyone in your Crews and report members and Session Photos from within the app. You can also report any Consequence by emailing us. We review reports and may take appropriate action. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
